This film was produced near Yuendumu between 1951 and 1966; the film illustrates the types of spears used, their making and repair, and the use of the hunting spear; a demonstration is made of the method of holding with a spear thrower; the men portrayed in the film locate kangaroo tracks and stalk and spear the kangaroo which is the carried back to camp; the film concludes with men singing with the accompaniment from clapping boomerangs
