Three remote Indigenous communities have taken part in the Home Internet Project set up by the Centre for Appropriate Technology where people in each community are given a computer and printer as well as internet connection via satellite or mobile technology to use over a period of three years; discusses the skills of the individuals ranging from primary school age to adult; also discusses the types of activities the computers are being used for including social media, music downloads, school work, online banking and purchasing and who the main users of the computers are; describes the locations of the communities as being very remote and how it has enabled these users to access much needed services online
