Summary
Jabiluka documents the struggle by Yvonne Margarula and the Mirarr people against the proposed uranium mine in Kakadu National Park, their traditional homeland. It takes you on a journey through the abundant treasures of Australia's most important World heritage listed area, over pristine wetlands and scaling the heights of its majestic escarpments. But the significance of Kakadu's cultural and environmental values would be forever jeopardised if the Jabiluka mine goes ahead. Jacqui Katona is a charismatic and driving force as the activist organiser of the Mirarr people in this film.
