Nyungars are a group of Aboriginal people living in Perth; case study of how Aboriginal people in urban settings turn to their own beliefs and practices in order to maintain their own identity despite and often in response, to the coercive policies of the state; examples of housing and Aboriginal children in care illustrate how the Nyungars turn to their own beliefs in order to maintain their identity in urban Perth
