- Alex Taylor ; born at Horseshoe Bend, South Australia in 1921 ; second son of Dick Taylor and Niningaya ; sent to Colebrook Home in Quorn, South Australia ; dux of Quorn High School ; encouraged his father to send his younger siblings to the new Colebrook Training Centre in Eden Hills, South Australia for their education ; enlisted with the RAAF at Keswick Barracks in Adelaide, South Australia ; saw active duty in New Guinea as ground crew and batman ; returned to Adelaide after the war ; involved with Aborigines Advancement League ; died at Enfield Hospial, Adelaide
