- Presents results of research which identified cohorts of Aboriginal students who were successful mathematics learners and then examined schools for the contributing factors to the students' successes; findings show that students as a group achieved best were schools where classroom and numeracy strategies were language focussed and culturally inclusive / responsive, and where school leadership structures and whole-school culture were also culturally inclusive / responsive the the needs of Aboriginal students and their communities
