- Summary
- Photographs taken as part of field work on the East Quinkan Reserve in association with Aygarra Timara Land Trust and Ang-Gnarra Aboriginal Corporation. Sites recorded by Trezise and Oribin in the 1970s were relocated, photographed and GPS locations recorded and a range of previously unrecorded cultural sites and materials were also documented. Subjects include: site environment; rock shelters; grinding grooves; rock paintings; rock engravings; woomera tree; sugarbag tree; sampling activities; erosion of rock shelters; hand stencils; nonda tree; stone tools; grinding area; open woodland and grasses; artefacts; wasp nests; termite nests; hearth; ochre; scarred trees; Quinkan figures; male, female and head dress anthropomorphs; macropods; possums; snakes; turtles; emu with clutch of eggs; superimposed frieze of paintings; animal and bird tracks; axe stencils
