- On a fishing trip, four friends find the body of a young Aboriginal woman in the lake, but do not report it immediately; film explores their reactions and that of the town of Jindabyne to their actions; undercurrents of racism and / or sexism are raised; the wife of one of the fishermen encourages the Jindabyne community to connect and communicate in dealing with the aftermath of the young woman's murder; extras include an interview with Aboriginal consultants who prepared the mourning ceremony scene in the film
