- 'True Stories: Art of the East Kimberley' was a 2003/04 exhibition of work of artists (predominantly Gidja) from the East Kimberley region of Western Australia, featuring eighty paintings, sculptures and works on paper from about 1976; leaflet argues need to implicitly understand that the paintings refer to events, people and places relating to the artists; landscape and seasons; Gidja story of creation of rainstones (diamonds); styles and influences on styles; discusses work and background of artists and stories and motifs reflected in their work; argues East Kimberley artists paint as part of an economic enterprise but have retained and maintained their culture while doing so
